Monthly Safety Tips

Safety - Handwriting image

General reminders

  • Lock your car/truck doors in driveway
  • Lock your house/close garage doors at night
  • Do not leave valuables visible in car/truck.  Best to remove them.  This includes keys and purses!
  • Pedestrians should walk facing traffic and wear reflective clothing if dark.
  • Lots of deer out at dusk and early morning, including a ton of babies.  Where you see one deer there’s normally one or more right behind them.  Be aware as you are driving.
  • If you see something that looks suspicious, say something.
    • 911 Emergencies
    • Shelby County Sheriff  (502) 633-4324
    • Shelby County Dispatch (502) 633-2323

We know these have been said before, but so easy to forget (especially when we haven’t had any cars/trucks broken into for a while).

Important Notice to all Persimmon Ridge Residents

The Persimmon Ridge HOA Board wants to notify its members that the HOA was recently subject to cyber crime impacting its bank account.  The matter is currently still under investigation, so the Board is limited in what it can say publicly. However, we can advise that immediate steps were taken to protect the HOA’s assets and most of the impacted funds have already been recovered. There was no impact on the reserve and the HOA operating budget.  The HOA would like to take this time to make a public service announcement to encourage all members to stay vigilant of unauthorized transactions on their accounts. If anyone has specific questions, please contact theBoard at PRHOADirectors@gmail.com.

Welcome, Diana, to the PR HOA Board!

The Persimmon Ridge HOA Board is excited to announce another member to the Board. Diana Wildenmann has joined the Board as the Vice Chair of Special Events.

Halloween Trick or Treating

Halloween is coming up this month! Trick or treating will occur in the neighborhood for those houses that want to participate on Friday, October 31.  Trick or treating will take place from 5pm-8pm.  If you are participating, please have your porch lights on.

Exterior Alterations Requests

Please make sure if you are planning any change to the exterior of your home to fill out the Architectural Review Form that can be found on Cornerstone’s website (examples include a fence, playground set, fire pit, deck, dumpster etc).  This includes if you will have a dumpster on site for any project for any amount of time.

Once Melinda receives your application, the process usually only takes a few days to complete. She works closely with all applicants to ensure the Architectural ReviewCommittee (ARC) has what they need to evaluate your project for a successful result. Click here to access the form on Cornerstone's website.

If you ever have any need from the PR HOA, please reach out to Melinda atCornerstone at melinda@contactcornerstone.com.
