As many of you know, Melinda Eaton retired from Cornerstone at the end of June. We thank Melinda for her dedicated service to the Persimmon Ridge community and wish her all the best in her retirement.

As a reminder, our pool policies are in place to ensure fair access for all PersimmonRidge residents and to help us manage the pool safely.
Pool key fobs are for Persimmon Ridge residents only who live in the household and are listed on the current Resident Information Form.
Guests are welcome, but the guest fee is $10 per person.
Key fobs may not be loaned or handed off to anyone who does not live in yourPersimmon Ridge household, including family members who live elsewhere.
Our lifeguards have been instructed to verify residency and collect guest fees as needed. They are simply enforcing the policies established by the HOA Board and should be treated with courtesy and respect.
Unfortunately, we've received reports that some lifeguards have been met with rude or intimidating comments while performing these duties. This is unacceptable. We will be monitoring activity at the gate, and if we observe or receive reports of inappropriate behavior toward our lifeguards or other pool staff, a Board member will contact the resident involved.

The Persimmon Ridge HOA Board has been working to develop a comprehensiveEnforcement Policy that provides greater clarity and consistency regarding several issues that have arisen within our community over the past several years. These topics include, but are not limited to, parking, dues collection, use of community amenities, and enforcement procedures.
In the coming days, all homeowners will receive an email with additional information, including the Board-approved Enforcement Policy. We encourage everyone to review the policy carefully so that all residents have a clear understanding of the community standards and enforcement process.

A quick reminder to please be considerate when using our community’s shared spaces, especially the pool house restrooms.
We have a maintenance budget to keep common areas clean and functioning, and we try to reserve those funds for normal wear and tear. Recently, however, staff have needed to respond repeatedly to clogged toilets in the pool house caused by flushing wipes and sunscreen. These incidents inconvenience neighbors who want to use the pool and require extra maintenance work — which ultimately costs the association and all residents.

One of the things many residents enjoy about Persimmon Ridge is taking a walkthrough the neighborhood. Since our community does not have sidewalks, it's especially important for both pedestrians and drivers to be mindful of one another and practice safe habits.
Walk facing oncoming traffic. When walking along neighborhood streets, pedestrians should walk on the left side of the road, facing traffic. This allows you to see approaching vehicles, make eye contact with drivers, and react if a vehicle comes too close.
Here are a few additional safety tips:
Drivers play an important role, too. Please watch for pedestrians around curves, hills, and intersections, reduce your speed when necessary, and give walkers as much space as possible when passing.
By staying alert and looking out for one another, we can help keep Persimmon Ridge a safe and enjoyable place for everyone to walk, bike, and drive.
Planning a summer gathering? The pool pavilion is available to rent during pool season in 4-hour blocks for $100.
Each rental includes 10 guest passes, making it a perfect option for birthday parties, family get-togethers, or small celebrations with friends and neighbors at the pool.

To help streamline the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) approval process and ensure projects are reviewed consistently, the Persimmon Ridge HOA has adopted anew Exterior Alteration Request Form. The updated form is now available on the homeowner portal through Cornerstone.
Remember: If your project requires ARC approval, the request must be submitted at least 14 days before your planned start date, and written approval must be received before any exterior work begins.

Providing all required information with your application helps avoid delays and allows the ARC to review requests more efficiently. Before starting your next exterior project, please review the new form to determine what documentation is required.
